Chris McCraw, CPA has worked hard to
build solid relationships, creating a vast network of tax and
related professionals to round out our already outstanding
services. Our principal, Chris McCraw, has built his business from
the ground up. After graduating from Wofford College in 1981, he
completed his accounting residency on the audit side of the
business. In 1983 he received his Certified Public
Accountant designation, and was named partner in Brock
& McDonald CPA's, becoming Brock, McDonald & McCraw CPA's.
There he specialized in business tax and accounting consulting, as
well as accounting software and systems, installation and support
for other accounting and related businesses. In 1993 he left the
firm to start Chris McCraw, CPA, PA and truly put
into practice his ideal that every client deserves individual
attention and not just a “cookie-cutter” approach to
accounting. A Spartanburg native, Chris
has chosen to stay in the area and invest in his community. He and
his wife, Robin, have been married for 18 years and have two sons,
Rich and Will. Chris enjoys Wofford and Clemson football, and is
active with his family.

Preparing your own income tax return can be a task that leaves you with more questions than answers. According to a study released by the US Government’s General Accounting Office last year, most taxpayers (77% of 71 million taxpayers) believe they benefited from using a professional tax preparer.
Whether we like it or not, today’s tax laws are so complicated that filing a relatively simple return can be confusing. It is just too easy to overlook deductions and credits to which you are entitled. Even if you use a computer software program there’s no substitute for the assistance of an experienced tax professional.
